| Welcome to Kew Riverside Neighbourhood Watch |
 |
We have a Neighbourhood Watch scheme up here. The first estate wide meeting was held at Kew Riverside School on Tuesday 17th June 2008 at 7.30pm.
We have NW coordinators for the estate - help is always appreciated - so please contact Paul Griffith on paul_e_griffith@yahoo.co.uk (please note that Paul is on the residents association & this is an unpaid role)
Advice for keeping safe
Windows
- When you are going out - please lock windows & remove the keys.
- Keep ground floor and first floor windows locked at night (opportunists strike when the weather is warm).
Visitors
- If you are not expecting a visitor - use the spy hole / video entry phone to see who is there first. Use the chain on your door. Ask for ID if necessary.
Bicycles
- Please use a strong 'D' shape lock. Mark your bike with your postcode in ultraviolet pen or attend police bike marking sessions. Remove the front wheel and store inside your home.
- Ensure your bike is covered on your home contents insurance.
Cars
- Do not leave your car keys within 1 metre of your front door . Thieves can reach through letterboxes with extendable rods - hook keys & steal cars.
- Do not leave any valuable items on display - such as sat navs, mobile phones, laptops, wallets, handbags etc.
Suspicious Behaviour
- If you see any suspicious behaviour - please call the Police first & then the Gate House. The Concierges are just concierges - they are not security guards.
